The boulder hangs out in the air and faces the abyss. In ancient times, anyone who went to the Temple of Heaven to worship stood on this stone to test his courage. According to legend, Lyu Dongbin, one of the Eight Immortals, once boarded this stone, saying that "it is only when people's hearts are stable that this stone can be built", hence the name "centering stone".
