The cliff is steep, steep and spectacular. According to legend, Li Sheng, the dutiful son of the Tang Dynasty, gave his life here to save his mother, hence the name "Sheshen Cliff".

Geologically, the groundwater in Wangwu Mountain was blocked from diving eastward by the fault at the entrance of Fengmen, and returned to Longtan, Beihai, Jiyuan after 60 miles. Although the flow of Taiyi Pool is only a tiny part of the source of water-saving, it was still regarded as the source of water-saving by the ancients because of their worship of Wangwu Mountain, which became a unique mark of the blending of nature and humanity.
