The ritual altar adopts the design concept of three orders and nine grades; The third-order structure is built in imitation of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, symbolizing the harmony and unity of heaven, earth and human beings. The nine levels of each order take the meaning of the maximum yang number, highlighting its highest level. The four sides set up passages to symbolize the world's homing, and the handrails are selected with white marble stones, which are exquisite and peerless, just like the sky on earth.

The altar is located in the "heavenly power" position of the Big Dipper, and its spatial layout has profound astronomical implications. The overall design follows the ancient world view of "like heaven and earth" and "the stars and the images are divided". The 9.9-meter-diameter "Dragon Tai Chi Eight Diagrams" carved on the Tianxin Stone in the heart of the altar is particularly unique: The creativity of the pattern originated from the record of Fu Xi Viewing the Eight Diagrams of Big Dipper Draco and Lumbricus. It combines the essence of dragon-shaped patterns in previous dynasties, such as silk paintings of Mawangdui and gold medals of Haifaint Hou, and absorbs cross-cultural elements such as Mayan culture and Yin-Yang pictures of ancient Rome. After systematic textual research, this pattern, which was first created, has been protected by national invention patents.
