In ancient times, people divided the constellations in the sky into four directions and twenty-eight lodges, each corresponding to seven lodges, and named them after animal images: Oriental Azure Dragon, Western White Tiger, Southern Vermilion Bird and Northern Black Tortoise. Around the Plaza, there are sculptures of the zodiac, which are arranged in the order of the twelve earthly branches, forming a dual cultural image of astronomy and folk customs.
