Silicified wood is a kind of tree fossil that was replaced by silicon dioxide in groundwater after the trees were quickly buried underground millions of years ago. It retains the wood structure and texture of trees. The silicified wood displayed here is known as the "first tree in the Central Plains" and is produced in Caogou Village, Da Yu Township, central geopark.
