The ancient life hall mainly displays the terrestrial life in the park and the major geological events that took place at the same time by restoring sculptures, combining multimedia with specimens. Jiyuan fauna, the proudest paleontological discovery in the park, is the oldest vertebrate fauna ever discovered in Henan. They lived in the late Permian about 250 million years ago and belong to the lower mammal-like reptile group.
